Walmer Bridge Beer & Banger Festival 2019. Were you there?
The empty barrels have gone, the music has faded on the breeze along with the final sniff of sizzling sausage and Walmer Bridge Village Hall field has returned to its rural serenity. The fifth and final Walmer Bridge Beer & Banger Festival is now only a memory, but we hope you all had a great time and enjoyed the beer, the music and the sausages.
Once again the weather was not as good as we might have hoped but the support from all you wonderful people was as fantastic as always. So even though numbers were slightly down, we are proud to announce that the Festival this year raised £16,000 and over five years the event has raised around £70,000, most of which has already been distributed to support the valuable work of several fantastic local charities. On their behalf, we’d like to thank everyone who has supported Walmer Bridge Beer & Banger Festival both this time and in previous years.
Special thanks go to the many sponsors who made it all possible, to the musicians who kept us entertained and to the army of volunteers and helpers from the Scouts, charities, local organisations, the Village Hall, friends, families and South Ribble Rotary Club members.
