A Beer Fest is Born

For over 30 years South Ribble Rotary Club has been organising charity fundraising events. In 2015 we decided to have a go at running a beer festival for the first time and the Walmer Bridge Beer and Banger Festival was born.

Local businesses came on board with generous sponsorship, people flocked to enjoy three days of real ale, scrumptious food and great live music and thousands of pounds were raised for charities. This success coupled with great feedback encouraged us to repeat the event in successive years and together the first four Festivals raised over £50,000 for us to distribute to charities. The 2019 Festival promises to be even bigger and better than before so we hope to see you there.

To improve administrative, regulatory and financial arrangements, a limited company has been set up to organise the event:- Walmer Bridge Beer Festival Ltd is owned by the Rotary Club of South Ribble Charitable Trust, Registered Charity Number 541250. All profits of the company are paid to the Charitable Trust. ‘Walmer Bridge Beer and Banger Festival’ is the trading name of Walmer Bridge Beer Festival Ltd which is registered in England number 11010935. The Director is Humphrey Johnson and the Registered Office is 43 Danesway, Walton le Dale, PR5 4UQ.
